Wood Cutting Boards Care InstructionsUpdated a year ago

To keep your cutting board in good condition, follow these care instructions:

- Wash the board with warm water and mild soap after each use. Do not soak the board in water or put it in the dishwasher, as this can cause cracking and warping.

- Dry the board thoroughly with a clean cloth or let it air dry in a vertical position. Do not store the board in a humid or damp place, as this can promote mold growth and bacteria.

- Oil the board regularly with food-grade mineral oil or beeswax to maintain its natural luster and prevent drying out. Apply a thin layer of oil with a soft cloth and let it soak in for a few hours or overnight. Wipe off any excess oil with a dry cloth.

- Avoid cutting acidic foods such as citrus fruits, tomatoes, or vinegar on the board, as this can damage the surface and cause discoloration. Use a separate board for raw meat, poultry, and seafood to prevent cross-contamination.
